After looking back through this blog and reading some of the entries, i've realized there has been a lack of hair/glam metal . I love all kinds of music from Sade to Slayer to Brad Paisley to New Kids on the Block and back around again. ..Anyways as a kid , I basically grew up listening to Hair Metal and Gangsta rap. These 2 genre's have remained my 2 favorites over the years. I've had the rap part covered (in the blog) but need to include more Metal in the blog to give u more insight into the mind of DJMACKEY...
So here iz a video from STEEL PANTHER. Guess it's been out for a month or 2..but I just saw it for the first time. For those of you who don't know about STEEL PANTHER...they are the biggest cover band in the world and they make their own songs in the classic metal style as well. They play every Monday nite at the KEY CLUB. They have become a very profitable act who plays more and gets more $$$ than a lot of the bands they mimic!! I got a ride home from the OC Awards with our dancers Jillian and Hannah. Jill had to go dance at a Burlesque club (after our gig) and was late so Hannah and I went along. I'm sure Glad I did. It was soooo fun. Amazing live art.. A jazz trio played while a girl danced on the custom made runway/bar. The club was in Boyle Heights and the crowd was lovely.

I saw these guys in 4th grade then in 6th grade for GGG. It changed my life! From then on I wanted to move to Hollywood and be a rockstar. No one puts on a better show then the CRUE. This vid has been out since December. Just had time to get into it. We met Lily and her crew 2 years ago at Coachella and shared some memorable nitrous experiences. She also took Mickey and I to see Lil Wayne at the HOUSE OF BLUES last summer/spring?...which was crazzzy!!..anyways thx Lily and Emily from Mackey...hope u get the number one album next week.
